Step 1 – Identify the problem:
You can determine if you need to get rid of moles yourself by answering a few questions. First, ask yourself if your garden is brown and dying in spots, indicating that the soil is infested with white grubs (the moles’ main food source). Also, if your yard has a lot of mole activity with hills and tunnels, you probably have a mole problem.

To identify mole problems, walk around your garden and look for molehills. If you feel like you’re walking over big bumps everywhere, they’re probably molehills.
