Orange isn’t just the new black; it has officially turned red, Valentine’s Day red, to be precise, thanks to a relationship that blossomed within its backdrop. Lauren Morelli, a writer for “Orange Is The New Black,” crossed paths with Samira Wiley on set, where Wiley portrayed the character Poussey Washington. Since their meeting, the two have been inseparable.
In due course, they became engaged in October 2016 and tied the knot a year later. Morelli, who was previously married to a man, discovered her true sexual orientation, realizing she was gay while working on the set of “Orange Is The New Black.” She subsequently got divorced and has never looked back.
